08 hauls Polar Express, after 5619 suffers failed safety valve gasket

08784 came to the rescue at the Telford Steam Railway on 21 December, after steam locomotive 5619 suffered a failed safety valve gasket before the first train. The fire was dropped and a repair was carried out the same day, allowing 5619 to return to steam.

28 December will be 5619’s final day in steam before it is withdrawn in January for its ten year overhaul. Visitors will also be able to sample 37263 and 08784 in action.
