Urgent appeal to keep the rain out of last surviving 315

The ACMU Society has issued an urgent appeal for funds to make its class 315 watertight.

The society says : “It's no secret. Three years of Welsh weather has not been kind to our beloved unit. The cabs and saloons have begun to suffer from major water ingress. If the unit continues to deteriorate at the current rate without intervention, we could be at serious risk of losing the sole surviving Class 315 in preservation.”

To Combat this it has launched ‘Project Yellow Submarine’, a £1000 targeted fundraiser to allow emergency weatherproofing works to commence on 315856, based at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway.
